Artist’s Pavilion

Work Space
For this project, we were tasked with designing a live-work pavilion for a designer of our choice within the parameters given to us. Following a long ideation and research process I arrivated at my final design, which includes tiered roofs, and a work space which was separate from the rest of the house to allow for a differentiation of the work space from the private home space.
This work space was created to be used by a fashion designer who would need to take clients in her home. A large custom work bench was designed with shelving and cabinets for storage as well as a smaller table to hold 3D printers. Another work area includes a secluded seating area which faces the outside for ideation and inspiration. This also includes counter height seating with monitors to work on documents and edit work. A separate office area off the main enterance of the house features a large window and seating around a table with a screen to show work to clients. This office area is split off of the main work space using a 3Form wall, which offers privacy while also allowing a clear view of everything going on and bringing in a pop of color to the space.
